Adult School Programs

Adult School
Ceres Adult School offers a wide variety of courses to meet the community's needs. In our high school diploma program, an adult may take classes four nights a week earning up to five credits per class. For highly motivated students we have an Independent Study class - students meet with the instructor one night a week and then complete 15 hours of work at home. We are also very excited about our EMT Certification class.

Independent Study

This program is an alternative method of earning a high school diploma. Students meet weekly with the instructor and commit to completing 15 hours of academic work each week. This course is designed for students who have good basic skills and can work independently.

GED Test Preparation (General Educational Development Testing)

Successful completion of the GED test is considered academically equivalent to a high school diploma. Students receive instruction in the five areas of the GED High School Equivalency test. Once the student feels confident enough to test he or she may contact the Stanislaus County Office of Education at (209) 238-6502 to schedule an exam.

Certificate Class - EMT

For the student who wants tangible evidence of competency in a specific area, our certificate classe is wonderful. This class focuses on job related skills and the student must have reached mastery in order to earn a certificate. Certificates are always an excellent addition to any employment package.
